    Abstract:

Degeneration of intervertebral discs is a major cause of lower back pain that seriously affects quality oflife and productivity. Although the specific pathogenesis is still unclear, recent research of related animal models has madegreat progress. The modeling method include structural damage, stress changes, and gene knockout.
