Observation on Treating Rhesus Monkey Proteus Mirabilis Diarrhea by Combining Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

    Abstract:

    [Objective] To observe therapeutic effect of Western medicine combined with Chinese drugs on Proteus Mirabilis diarrhea in Rhesus monkey. [Method] Sixty-three cases were randomly divided into two groups. Fourty one cases in the treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with antibiotic, and 22 cases in the control group were treated with antibiotic. [Results] The effective rate was 85.4% in the treatment group and 59.l% in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05). [Conclusion] The combined treatment of western medicine and Chinese drugs was more effective than that of simple antibiotic treatment.
